The End

The park was crowded, full of people celebrating Memorial Day in the gorgeous weather. We walked along the riverside making polite conversation about the weather, the weekend we've spent apart. My hand is clinging to his and my heart is pounding in my ears. We're both smiling at each other at intervals with nervous faces.

Finally we find a clearing, although it's over the river so he helps me down to the bank before lifting me in his arms and carrying me over the water. Setting me on the ground he guides me to the picnic bench before kneeling on one knee in front of me.

"Will you marry me?"

And with those words my new life began. And this blog finished.
